I think you have noticed the voice search option in the right side of Google
search box, if you browsing from Google Chrome. This feature can be brought to
normal input textboxes also. But this feature works only in browsers which use
the webkit rendering engine (ex: Google Chrome version 11 and above). For adding
the voice search option inside your website search box you have to include the
the attribute x-webkit-speech inside the input box coding . After including the
xwebit-speech inside the coding will add a MIC icon inside the search box when
ever some one visits your website using Google Chrome or other browsers using
the webkit tool. Below there is a live example of voice search box. Open this
article using Google Chrome and try the voice search. If you don't have

To use it you have to click on the MIC button and say the word or line you wanna
search . How to add Voice search option to your blog: Now let me tell you how
you can integrate this voice search facility with your websites normal text
search box. Just open the search box coding of your website and include the code

attribute called "onwebkitspeechchange" which allows to trigger a javascript
